What exactly is Marginsoftware?
Marginsoftware is a blockchain trading interface that has been designed as a “visual” trading front-end for both centralised and decentralised exchanges. However, rather than simply mimic exchange websites, Marginsoftware provides a host of additional features that significantly improve the trading experience. Graphical Trading
Marginsoftware is a bitcoin trading terminal that lets you directly interact with market data. Drag and drop your orders to exactly where you want them, pull the chart to the left to reveal a price aligned depth chart or use marginsoftware ruler to calculate a specific gain.

Multi Exchange
Marginsoftware currrently supports Poloniex, Bittrex, BTC-e, Cryptopia, Bitstamp, Bitfinex, and OKcoin, but it is implemented in a modular way to allow for the easy addition of new markets. We are currently testing Kraken and more will follow. We are also investigating supporting de-centralized exchanges.

Automated Trading
Marginsoftware comes bundled with two automatic trading strategies. The ping pong strategy allows you set a static buy and sell price, whereas the mArgin maker strategy adapts to the market course. Setting both up can be done graphically by simply clicking and dragging in the chart.


In which language is it written?
Marginsoftware has been developed from the ground up as an object oriented C++ application. Using the features of C++ and Qt allows us to provide a product that is super responsive and completely intuitive to use.

Hello everyone!

I'd like to show you my first project with ethereum smart contracts. I've created a link shortener that is completely based on a smart contract and statically served from github pages. It interacts with the blockchain via web3.js.

Each shortened link costs a few milli ether. Pricing is based on key length (the shorter, the more expensive) and on the validity period.
E.g. ethr.link/hi would cost you 8 milli ether per 30 days.

MISSION STATEMENT
BlockArray is adapting the GS1 standard ONS 2.0.1 for use on the blockchain, and blockchain related services such as the Ethereum Naming Service. We are awaiting our own GS1 Prefix so that users who hold tokens can make issuance under a GS1 Prefix.

Besides adapting the ONS2.0.1 protocol for blockchain use, we are developing a Magento extension so that e-commerce companies can take orders from their website, watch in real time when their order is being processed and delivered, and finally shipped to either a 3rd party fulfillment service (UPS or FedEx via API gateway) or through local delivery (track via our mobile application).

Our MVM/Web UI platform, Visual SmartContracts (www.visualsmartcontracts.com) is used in creating business logic driven smart contracts for private blockchains, and can be used in traditional pubic blockchains like Ethereum.

• What is the purpose of the token?
o The purpose of the token is to allow users to register a identifiable prefix for the issuance and tracking of registered barcodes, much like the GS1 system currently in use globally. We have a GS1 Prefix as well. You will be able to generate a barcode, scan the barcode and be able to have it call an Ethereum Name Service Address or a regular domain name or a smart contract/ token

• Can’t I already make a barcode with a URL in it?
o Yes, but if you want a product to be able to scan with barcode scanners that simply access the Unique Information Data in it (such as a SKU, UPC, etc) you would have to make 2 separate barcodes. GS1 ONS 2.0.1 specifies the scheme to convert a barcodes elemental string into accessible data while still preserving the fundamental asset attributes contained within it.

• What function or utility does it perform?
o User must stake an amount in order to be able to have a identifiable unique prefix. Users who do not will have a generic prefix.

• Is the token absolutely necessary?
o In order to use our API gateway you must have your token in your wallet, as we use your public address as a the API key

• Why does your project need to be on the blockchain?
o Some countries restrict how data for sensitive products, such as weapons or chemical/biological/radioactive items can be stored on computers, such as identifying barcodes data must be hosted in the country and not on a global cloud system. See GS1 ONS 2.0.1 – Political Concerns

• Can you describe a viable economic model behind it?
o Token Holders can stake other users who want a prefix but don’t want buy the necessary amount to get their own prefix.

• Are you creating your own blockchain?
o Yes and No. Private blockchains for businesses that wish to maintain some degree of privacy, and our main protocol which will interact with the Ethereum Blockchain. With our protocol you can generate a barcode that will contain all the data of your product, along with the ability to make a call to the Ethereum Naming Service or a specific Smart Contract/Token.



CONTRIBUTION PERIOD

Start Time: November 28th 2017 at 8:00 p.m. EST
Duration: Three weeks, or 72 hours after the soft cap is exceeded, or immediately when the security cap is reached.
Soft Cap: $10M USD equivalent in ETH
Security Cap: $15M USD equivalent in ETH
Token Supply: 50million total

TOKEN DISTRIBUTION

We have taken numerous steps to ensure a level playing field for all and to try to achieve a wide distribution of district0x Network Token holders.

No whitelisted addresses
No 3rd-party allocations
No bonus structure
70 Gwei max gas price

TOKEN VESTING PERIOD
Corporate Reserves have a VESTING CLIFF of 4 months with a 4 year vesting period after that
Developers have a VESTING CLIFF of 12 months with a 3 year vesting normal vesting period after that
LIQUIDATION OF ETH FOR FUNDS
We will try our best not to sell ETH on public markets, we will seek out private accredited investors to exchange the funds for fiat. If we can not we will limit any liquidations to no more than $7500USD per week, with public announcements of any public liquidations and try our best to spread out any negative impact that it may have
Release of any Corporate Reserves once Vesting cliff has passed will be publicly announced and will follow a strict regime of no off loading at once, but rather a gradual wind down of the amount to be sold over the course of time



Opportunity:
Global operations need consistent global standards to be applied across their supply chain, and this is only going to become increasingly difficult with legacy enterprise systems and increased legal costs. Laws recently passed like The California Transparency Supply chain Act add additional burdens to businesses trying to comply with the law, coupled with more demands on an increasingly outdated IT system, creates multiple problems for firms.

Over the course of 3 years we learned a lot about how people with very little programming experience try and do things, and applied that to designing our systems. The rules of this game are pretty simple: Blocks on the bottom layer cost 0.005 ETH. Blocks on each next layer cost twice as much:
  • Layer 1: 0.005 ETH
  • Layer 2: 0.01 ETH
  • Layer 3: 0.02 ETH
  • Layer 4: 0.04 ETH
  • etc...
When someone places a block on top of yours, you get half the value from that block. So, when one block has been placed on top of yours, you've made your money back. When two blocks have been placed on top of yours, you've doubled your money!

There's a 0.5% fee.
At the time I'm writing this, 187 blocks have been placed. The highest block is at layer 7: 0.32 ETH
An interesting aspect of this game is that you can never definitively lose. Either you win soon, or you wait a while longer until you win.

It works with MetaMask, Mist and Parity.

This is not an ICO, but you're more likely to profit here than in most ICO's ;)

Help with decentralization of poker?

I admit I can only envision a solution, and can't show any proof. And that I'll never likely have any decent technical grasp of all this, but I do think that we have the solutions needed for decentralizing poker. I think the real issue is moving the players community behind the idea. Which means, getting credible people (developers?) to understand a provable solution. It probably involves a working model/product and a shift within the players community.

But if it can be shown that there could be a working decentralized game equal or superior to the best centralized sites, then the players can imagine a game with their own rake model and incentives to come up with cost saving solutions.

To me that means the players community today pays x dollars a day in rake to 3rd parties, and they stand to save that money by developing (and funding) a decentralized project. If I understand ethereum correctly, their is mutual incentive for the players community to adopt ethereum to the point of it being Epoker. It would be nice to add the poker community to the ethereum network I am assuming? And so if a solution could be presented that is verified and understandable their should be $100,000's or millions available for its implementation (depending on the solution and contracts for funding players might flock to it).

I just really think the key here is this can only work if the players buy their own game. (The only other possibility is an owner sells the players the idea with a working product and phases out eventually, but that is trivial anyways.)

I described it the best I could, I can barely understand any of the papers, but it seems to me that with decentralized chess and cyberdice, and the players community developing incentives and rules, ethereum can specifically address decentralized poker in every way that is significant to the player (but not necessarily to a 3rd party private interest).

Does the player community bring value with them? Extra computing power? Liquidity of ether?

Maybe you don't need to read my writing, but point me to someone who has shown this or could answer this?

I'm trying not to sound crazy but I feel like this community might not fear out there ideas.

ethOS Web Panel


After long I am starting on the ethos web panel. This discussion is for the suggestions and feedback as well as development progress for this just starting project. I will need a few miners to test start testing this, anyone interested can send me a message or post here.
Few things that must be decided prior to making front end of the website:
Should the panel be publicly visible like ethosdistro.com? or be private like login restricted?
I want the panel to be simple and show only minimal data required i.e. hash, coin, rigname, temperature, no of gpus, uptime; if required all data can be showed on a different page showing detailed rig details.
